Standard tours are three hours and priced for up to three people - $225

Groups of four or more contact Mountain Spies directly to discuss the specifics.

Options:

Extended tours that include hikes and lunch are available. If you are interested in a customized tour, contact us directly to find out more.  We can easily work with you to customize a specific tour if this is of interest to you and your group.   This is especially important for larger groups that may have less flexibility, or for a small group that is adventurous and wants a fully immersive experience.

Timing

Individual tours are typically conducted Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM or from 1 to 4 PM.   Reach out directly if you have specific requirements or timing needs.

Drop Zone

Tours start at Mount Saint Mary's campus, just south of Emmitsburg, MD, on scenic Route 15.  Location specifics will be shared once your tour is booked.  Arrangements can also be made for pickup in Frederick, Waynesboro, or Gettysburg; however, due to the travel time involved, a modest surcharge applies.  Contact Mountain Spies for details.

Driving/ Walking - Not an issue

This tour has several stops where walking for a 1/4 mile or more is required.  The tour can be modified to reduce physical activity and extended to include a 2+ mile hike with scenic overlooks and specific points of interest.  Before booking, communicate your needs with Mountain Spies so we can plan accordingly.

Lunch or Dinner Option - Oldest Tavern in Adams County

Flexible schedule?  Add a lunchtime stop at the Oldest Tavern in Adams County (c. 1757), an authentic Adams County landmark with deep Civil War-era roots and a direct connection to the Gettysburg campaign.  The lunch menu is affordable and outstanding.  Contact us directly to make arrangements.
